Colubrids are members of the snake family, Colubridae and are the largest family of snakes. Common colubrids kept as pets are Corn Snakes, Milk Snakes and King Snakes. These species in particular make interesting pets, as they usually have striking colours and are active to handle. – as well as being easy to care for and good feeders.
Kelly – Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus)

Year Hatched: 2015 approx.
Gender: Male
Bio: Kelly is a grumpy corn snake, that prefers to be left alone rather than handled, but occasionally comes out and falls asleep in people’s clothes. He was handed over to Alex as an unwanted pet, living in a much-too-small enclosure and advertised as ‘aggressive’.

Slither – Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus)

Gender: Female
Bio: Slither is a very chubby girl, but is fantastic to handle and really docile in her nature. She belonged to a friend who wanted her to go somewhere she would be appreciated more.
Sidney – Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus)
Lives with: Alex
Year Hatched: 2015 approx.
Gender: Male
Bio: Sidney is a very active snake, and likes to be in and out of everything while being handled. He’s never shown signs of aggression in our care. He was rehomed to Alex as an unwanted pet, living in a filthy fish tank.

Sashimi – Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus)

Year Hatched: 2018 approx.
Gender: Unknown
Bio: Sashimi is a small corn snake, handed in to the rescue alongside another corn snake she had been cohabiting with. She has a number of damaged sections of her spine and rib cage, and came in severely underweight. She is a permanent rescue case, due to her on-going health issues.
