Return to Rescue Animals
We are currently waiting for a faecal sample from Boots, to clear them for adoption
Boots is a juvenile royal python, believed to be a pastel morph. We are currently unsure of their sex. They were found in a car boot and believed to be a lost pet, but an owner was not found after months of appealing.
Their previous housing is unknown.
Boots has not shown any health issues and is growing as a young royal python should. They are very friendly to handle.
A great snake for a first time keeper!
Boots will need a 4ft wooden vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. A caged over-head heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 32C. The cool side should sit below 23C. A low-level UVB tube light of 5-7% should be provided. Boots is fed a rat fluff every week or two weeks and strikes well.
Our care guide for royal pythons can be found HERE.
