Return to Rescue Animals
Chip is currently undergoing observation, so is not yet available for adoption
Chip is a mature, snow corn snake and is believed to be male. He was surrendered to us as his previous keeper had some trouble with him striking and felt they lacked experience.
Her previous enclosure was a 2ft wooden vivarium with an unregulated heat mat and aspen bedding.
Chip was a little overweight on arrival but is otherwise in good health.
He was struck once or twice at hesitant hands but has been no trouble for confident handlers and has never bitten.
A handsome snake looking for a confident forever home.
Chip will need a 4ft vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. A caged, overhead heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 32C. The cool side should sit below 23C. A low-level UV bulb should be provided – 5-7% ideally. Chip receives a medium or large mouse every 2-3 weeks.
Our care guide for corn snakes can be found HERE.
