Return to Rescue Animals

Under Quarantine…
Hugo is a new intake, so is currently in her minimum quarantine period.
Hugo is a 13 year old corn snake believed to be male. He was surrendered as his keeper was moving to another country and sadly couldn’t take him with them, he was well-loved!
He was kept in 3ft vivarium with overheat heat, aspen and decor. He was fed a jumbo mouse once a week.
Hugo is very docile and friendly and would suit a first-time keeper. He arrived quite overweight, so is now on a diet. He has no other health problems that we know of so far.
A sweet and chunky boy!
Care Requirements:
Hugo will need a 4ft vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. A caged, overhead heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 32C. The cool side should sit below 23C. A low-level UV bulb should be provided – 5-7% ideally. Hugo should be fed a medium/large mouse every 2-3 weeks.
Our care guide for corn snakes can be found HERE.
