Lloyd

Return to Rescue Animals

Under Quarantine…

Due to an outbreak of Reptarenavirus in our quarantine space, Lloyd is currently unavailable.

Lloyd is a young royal python whose sex is unknown. They were found in the Shrewsbury area and advertised as a lost pet, but no owner was found so they became an intake of the rescue.

As a found animal, we don’t know anything about Lloyd’s previous care.

Lloyd arrived in good health and has been super friendly to handle. They would make a good first reptile.

An adorable baby looking for a new start!

Care Requirements:

Lloyd will need a 4ft wooden vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. A caged over-head heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 32C. The cool side should sit below 23C. A low-level UVB tube light of 5-7% should be provided. Lloyd is usually fed a small weaner rat every 1/2 weeks, but we sometimes vary food sizes to add some variety!

Our care guide for royal pythons can be found HERE.
