Ready for Rehoming…
MJ is a 4 year old, female bearded dragon. She was surrendered as her previous keepers felt they didn’t have the time to provide her with enrichment outside of the vivarium.
She was kept in a 4ft wooden vivarium with a heat bulb, ceramic heat bulb at night (both on thermostats) and UV. She had tile and sand as substrate. She was fed salad daily and live insects once a week, these included hoppers, crickets and morio worms.
MJ is very docile and handleable. She is a little chubby and occasionally suffers from a weapy eye, which is manageable and support will be given to her new keepers. She is also partially blind, due to her malformed eyelids, so sometimes requires hand feeding her insects. She underwent a spay surgery in our care, so shouldn’t suffer from any typical female beardie reproductive issues.
She is a very sweet dragon that is happy to be handled.
A sweet, loveable bearded dragon.
MJ will need a 4x2x2ft vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. An overhead heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 38-43C. The cool side should sit below 30C and 18C at night. A high-level UV bulb should be provided both for a day/night cycle and for UV – 10-12% ideally. MJ should be fed fresh salad daily and staple insects two or three times a week (locusts, crickets, dubia roaches). These should be dusted with calcium and a calcium with Vitamin D3 powder alternatively.
