Ready for rehoming…
Wafer is a 2 year old royal python, probed as male. He was reluctantly handed in by previous owners due to lack of time.
He arrived in perfect condition, except for what looked like retained eyecaps. He has been treated with lubrication for these and shed them off completely on his next shed. He has some very faint scarring on his eyes, we assume as a result of previous retained eyecaps. He eats very well, and need the rat warmed well to be able to strike accurately.
He is very sweet to handle so far, but a little head shy. Will need lots of time to build trust and help him gain confidence.
A sweet, shy snake with lots of love to give to the right family.
Wafer will need a 4×1.5×1.5ft wooden vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. A caged over-head heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 32C. The cool side should sit below 23C. A low-level UVB tube light of 5-7% should be provided. He is currently fed on large weaner rats every 2-3 weeks, and once mature, should be on no more than small rats every 4-6 weeks.
