Simba

Return to Rescue Animals

Reserved for Rehoming…

Simba is a female, adult Mexican Red Knee Tarantula. She is 19 years old and was well loved by her previous keeper, but they sadly had to surrender her due to poor health.

She was previously housed in a small glass tank with a heat mat, soil and lots of decor. She was fed 1 or 2 crickets per feed and is a good eater.

Simba seems in good health and has shown no issues.

She was calm to handle upon her arrival, but has been known to flick hairs when she is not in the mood.

A beautiful little spider!

Care Requirements:

Simba will need an enclosure that has a minimum of 30x30cm floor space. She should have a deep soil substrate and lots of enrichment opportunities such as burrows and safe climbing options. The enclosure should be in a room between 18 and 26 degrees Celcius, or have a heat mat attached to the side of the enclosure connected to an on/off thermostat to control the temperature. Simba is fed 1-2 crickets once a week.
