Terri

Return to Rescue Animals

Under Quarantine…

Terri is a new intake so is currently in his minimum quarantine period.

Terri is a male, horsefield tortoise of unknown age. He was found in The Rock in mid-July. Unfortunately, no owner was found and he was not microchipped, so he became a rescue intake on 30th July 2022.

We don’t know anything about his previous enclosure but he is currently kept in an outdoor run or free-roams indoors with access to shelter, water, food and a basking spot.

Terri arrived with a slightly overgrown beak, but this was trimmed at the vet during his microchipping appointment. He’s very friendly and loves food!

Sweet boy in need of love!

Care Requirements:

Terri will need a suitable sized tortoise table, ideally with time outdoors, or a designated space large enough for exercise. A overhead basking bulb with a dimming thermostat and UVB system will need to be set up. Soil or mixed-texture substrates should be provided with a water dish and hiding place/nest box. Terri should be fed salad every day with powdered supplements Nutrobal and Calcidust alternated every day. He should also have access to cuttlefish at all times.
