Return to Rescue Animals

Under Quarantine…
Freya is a new intake, so is currently in her minimum quarantine period.
Freya is 2 and half year old, female corn snake. She was surrendered after the child of the keeper lost interest in her and grew too scared to handle her.
She was kept in a 4ft vivarium with a heat mat, aspen and decor. She was fed a small/medium mouse every 1-2 weeks.
Freya isn’t used to handling but has so far been very friendly. She has no notable health issues that have been identified.
A misunderstood girl.
Care Requirements:
Freya will need a 4ft vivarium as a minimum, to allow space to exercise and move around. A caged, overhead heat source should be fitted with a suitable thermostat to maintain a warm-side temperature of 32C. The cool side should sit below 23C. A low-level UV bulb should be provided – 5-7% ideally. Freya should be fed a medium/large mouse every 2-3 weeks.
Our care guide for corn snakes can be found HERE.
